He brought in a leaf
Yes, when I bend my fingers
Hundreds of people are saying eczema does this, however I saw the leaves and I know exactly when andh ow it happened.
Normal, no rash
At this point about 72 hours
This one is one of the more benign ones I've had
Well, at least I posted in the correct subreddit
100% sure it's poison ivy. I've had it before, I saw the leaves, I know the sport on my yard fence it came from
It's just on my hands and wrists. The scrotal dryness is a systemic response
He had a bunch of leaves. If you want a logical reason why a. 3 year old does things.....
Right hand is just as bad
Because it's easy to recognize the leaves when they're on the plant, but when your kid is running around grabbing lots of leaves from lots of different plants all around the yard, it's easy to miss it out of context
I guess I was used to threat vectors being outside, not in my house, and didn't think twice about it
Burning can aerosolize the oil
Less itchy than when it gets on my legs. More painful. And the swelling yesterday was so bad I had to do the rubber band trick to get my wedding ring off
He's fine, not allergic at all
Yes, and when I know I've been exposed to poison ivy, I scrub my entire body raw.
This one I didn't realize what it was until I started to develop blisters. I had thrown out the leaves without realizing what they were
The oil is what causes the rash, once it's washed off it's no longer going to spread
Never risked losing a limb, but I've had my throat close up. I'd say that's enough to call it horrible.
I'm starting to wonder if my kids are intelligently malicious instead of stupid. Both my kids know how to ruin my day in particularly cruel, traumatizing ways
I'm well aware of what's coming, at this point there's no cure but I can do things to make it more comfortable
When I say my son brought poison ivy into the house, I mean literal leaves. He's 3. I threw them out but didn't realize until later what they were
